what’s crackin y’all? here i am again, writing your daily supply of random light updates. I love this!
As you all already noticed, school will start in a few days. We only have less than a week of holiday. This is the perfect time to prepare for school so you can rock your school like a hurricane!
Don’t worry about getting confused in the process guys, because i have created a mini-guide for you to prepare for school! let’s look at the list now and be inspired! let’s go-a-gogo!
Restock your supply of Books and other Stationery

Collect your recent usable stationery and put it in your pencil case. Or if you barely have any usable pencil or pen, a trip to the bookstore won’t hurt. Keep in mind though, you only buy what you need. bizzare gizmos like electric pencil sharpener or elastic pen won’t be useful at school.
My common set for all of my pencil cases (yes, i have more than one) are:
- two mechanical pencils
- two pens
- one black eraser
- one pen corrector
- mech-pencil leads
- one highlighter
- one boardmarker (if your school uses whiteboards)
yours? up to you, but keep in mind that you don’t want to turn your pencil case into a big block of brick with all that stationery. Put in according to your needs.
You’ll need some notebooks too, right? Well.. there are many types of notebooks, according to how they’re bind.
Principal types of binding are padding, perfect, spiral, comb, sewn, clasp, disc, and pressure, some of which can be combined. Binding methods can affect whether a notebook can lie flat when open and whether the pages are likely to remain attached. The cover material is usually distinct from the writing surface material, more durable, more decorative, and more firmly attached. It also is stiffer than the pages, even taken together. Cover materials should not contribute to damage or discomfort.
A lot of notebook variation at a bookstore.
It is frequently cheaper to purchase notebooks that are spiral-bound, meaning that a spiral of wire is looped through large perforations at the top or side of the page. Other bound notebooks are available that use glue to hold the pages together; this process is “padding”. Today it is common for pages in such notebooks to include a thin line of perforations that make it easier to tear out the page. Spiral-bound pages can be torn out but frequently leave thin scraggly strips from the small amount of paper that is within the spiral, as well as an uneven rip along the top of the torn-out page. Hard-bound notebooks include a sewn spine, and the pages are not easily removed. Some styles of sewn bindings allow pages to open flat, while others cause the pages to drape.
Variations of notebooks that allow pages to be added, removed, and replaced are bound by either rings, rods, or discs. In each of these systems the pages are modified with perforations that facilitate the specific binding mechanism’s ability to secure them. Ring-bound and rod-bound notebooks secure their contents by threading perforated pages around straight or curved prongs. In the open position, the pages can be removed and re-arranged. In the closed position, the pages are kept in order. Disc-bound notebooks remove the open or closed operation by modifying the pages themselves. A page perforated for a disc-bound binding system contains a row of teeth along the side edge of the page that grip onto the outside raised perimeter of individual discs.
Prepare Your Shoes!
Nothing feels better than a new pair of kicks for the new day! The term “new” is relative, though… are you gonna buy a new one or.. clean your existing shoes? if you have enough cash or you can talk your parents out to buy a new one, that’s cool man.. that’s cool.
But! what if you have been saving for something else and wouldn’t dare to spend it? or your parents said your existing kicks are still usable? try cleaning them!
Here are tips for both!
BUYING SNEAKERS

- An example of a sneaker store
Buying sneakers is only easy when you know exactly what you want. If you don’t, the process can get overwhelming with the many sneaker brands, styles, and color choices out there. Here 5 invaluable points every sneaker buyer must ponder upon before hitting the register.
Comfort
The first thing to do when you spot a hot pair of sneakers is to examine whether they are comfortable or not. If they are not, put them down and look elsewhere. There is absolutely no point to buying sneakers to wear out and about if they don’t even fit right. I don’t care what they look like or how much they cost. Don’t do it.
Purpose
What is the purpose of those sneakers you have in mind? Are they simply casual sneakers to wear on errands or to a club? Or are they for track or tennis practice? Every sneaker is designed to serve a purpose. If your sneakers are for athletic functions, then there is some extra attention on your part that should go into inspecting whether the soles will get the job done. Read as many reviews as you can find on the sneakers you have in mind before making the leap to buy them. If your sneakers are for style reasons only, then skip to the next step.
Style and Design
Style and design are what first draw you to a pair of sneakers. Once you’ve made sure your sneakers are indeed comfortable and have determined what purpose they will serve, inspect the style, color and design. Are these sneakers going to match only one set of clothes you own or can they be worn with anything? If you had to pick between a versatile set of sneakers or ones in loud neon colors, always go for the one that can be worn most.
Versatility
Can these sneakers be worn to work? To a party? To church or the park? The best kind of sneakers are the super versatile ones! They are not too loud, too polished, too edgy, or too athletically engineered. They can be worn whenever and for whatever. Versatile sneakers provide the best value in the long run and if you are an avid collector, they eliminate the extra dust and storage space.
Value
Paying $500 for flashy sneakers is wasteful if they’re uncomfortable, too loud or too nice to wear. Value is the perception that the item you buy is worth more in your eyes than what you paid for it. If your sneakers are only going to be good to be looked at, then don’t bother buying them. Grab a sneaker magazine instead that has a picture of them in it.
CLEANING SNEAKERS

- An example of a dirty shoe
Take the common sense approach
First, see if there are care instructions inside your shoe. If so, follow those instructions. If not, use a specially designated cleaning kit for athletic shoes. Kits are most effective on leather and nylon uppers, foam midsoles and liners and inserts. When in doubt, follow the kit instructions.
For most sneakers
Here are some basic instructions for cleaning most canvas and nylon sneakers:
- Remove the laces and inserts.
- Rinse shoes with clean water.
- Use a neutral cleaner (such as Tide® Liquid or Tide Free Liquid) and a soft brush to scrub your shoes. Do NOT use bleach, solvents, harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Use a white, nylon-backed scrub pad for scuff marks.
- Rinse entire shoe well with clean water.
- Drip dry. Stuff with absorbent white paper to keep the shape.
Additional tips
- Throw laces in with your regular laundry and clean them.
- Don’t place in direct sunlight or use the dryer (or any other heat source) to speed the drying process.
- Don’t use newspaper to stuff your shoes; it will transfer to most fabrics.
- Don’t put liners back in or wear your shoes until they are completely dry.
